Kirkcaldy visited Haws Park in Bridge of Allan to meet Riverside Blue for this League Cup game. As it turned out this was to be The Colts last game of the season and unfortunately they didn't really turn up. They seemed to have the mind-set that they would lose even before kick-off. the loss of an early goal really seemed to confirm this view and another four followed before half-time without any real reply. A frank discussion at half-time seemed to galvanise The Colts for the second period and they went out with a bit more belief. They started to fight for their pride, even stringing some good passing moves together and they created a few chances but couldn't find the final cutting edge. Then Riverside showed the difference in the teams when they broke and scored again to kill off The Colts fight. Another two goals followed to complete a final 8-0 drubbing but at least in the second period The Colts showed flickers of what they have produced at times this season and hope this will give them a base to improve again into next season.
